The Alabama Department of Archives & History is offering individualized research consultations by email and phone. We strongly encourage all patrons to schedule a consultation in advance of their research visit. It will allow our staff to provide the most efficient and helpful service possible.

Your consultation will be conducted by one of our six expert Reference archivists. Please request your consultation several days in advance of your visit. Through the consultation, our staff will:

• Help you identify specific ADAH collections that align with your research topic.
• Provide links to finding aids that describe collections in greater detail.
• Suggest other resources and repositories that will enhance your project.
